HILLTOWN CHURCHES FOOD PANTRY

Read the 2022 Annual Report of the Hilltown Churches Food Pantry here.

The Hilltown Churches Food Pantry distributes food from Friendship Hall, downstairs at the Ashfield Congregational Church. It serves those in need from the eleven hill towns of Ashfield, Buckland, Charlemont, Colrain, Conway, Hawley, Heath, Monroe, Plainfield, Rowe and Shelburne. There is no proof of residency in one of these eleven towns required to participate in the Food Pantry, nor is there any income requirement.  Anyone is welcome to come for food at our distribution times. If you need food, please come and sign up.

Distribution hours are every other Tuesday from 3-5 pm and are  "client choice" rather than "drive through.". We typically serve about 600 people at each distribution. We have distribution calendars available at the Food Pantry.

We rely on donations of money and food for our continued operation. We spend 96-98% of our budget directly on food. Through our partnership with the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, your donation will help us leverage our resources to provide food for our neighbors in need. Checks may be made payable to Hilltown Churches Food Pantry and mailed to PO Box 161, Ashfield MA 01330. We thank you for your support.

We are an equal opportunity provider.

In February, 2021, we partnered with St. John's Episcopal Church in Ashfield for Socks for Wintertime. We collected enough socks to give each family a pair or two for each family member.

Mission
We are a small group, striving to be open and accepting, sometimes disagreeing yet loving one another, wading through the joy and pain of spiritual growth, who pledge to worship God together, follow the example of Jesus, embody God's holy spirit, support our church family, and serve our neighbors near and far.
