Love in a Backpack
Our church is invited to donate items for St. John’s Love in a Backpack program. These backpacks go to newly-released women prisoners from the Greenfield and Chicopee Correctional facilities.  St. John’s will be filling 25 backpacks on March 3 (12:30 p.m.) at their Corner house. First Cong.  is invited to come help as well as to donate to this important project. What’s needed? 25 each of the following items: Shampoo (regular size, not travel), Conditioner, Deodorant, Lotion, Toothbrushes, and Toothpaste. You may buy all of one item, or a portion. All donations are greatly appreciated. Please bring your donated items to church Sunday, Feb. 27. If you’d like to help pack the backpacks, come to St. John’s Corner house March 3, 12:30 p.m. For questions, contact Mary Link at 628-4695. Thank you for whatever help you can give.

Mission
We are a small group, striving to be open and accepting, sometimes disagreeing yet loving one another, wading through the joy and pain of spiritual growth, who pledge to worship God together, follow the example of Jesus, embody God's holy spirit, support our church family, and serve our neighbors near and far.
