Spiritual Resources
“The Bubble Up” Theology Group, commonly known simply as “Bubble Up”, began in 2007 as a monthly theological discussion group, open to all. We discuss our spiritual journeys including ups and downs, struggles with faith formation, our individual commitments to growing in love.

It was originally a one-year experiment led by our pastor at that time, Rev. Kate Stevens. Yet, after Kate's retirement, the group has continued on through pastoral transitions, with lay people taking on leadership themselves.

The group's usual meeting time is monthly, on the third Tuesday, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. We are currently meeting via Zoom.

For each monthly session, we choose a topic, a reading or two on that topic, and a facilitator. The meeting begins with a candle lighting and opening prayers. The facilitator introduces the topic and reads the selection(s). Each member then silently writes, draws, or meditates about the topic and readings for an agreed-upon period of time, after which we take turns sharing our thoughts.

Before the close of the meeting, we try to select a topic and facilitator and to confirm the date of the next meeting.

Mission
We are a small group, striving to be open and accepting, sometimes disagreeing yet loving one another, wading through the joy and pain of spiritual growth, who pledge to worship God together, follow the example of Jesus, embody God's holy spirit, support our church family, and serve our neighbors near and far.
